Rimrock Jr-Sr High School serves students in grades 6 through 12 from the Bruneau – Grand View communities and surrounding areas. Our vision is to be the premier small, rural Jr-Sr High School in Idaho. Our mission is to provide our students with an education that prepares them to be positive contributors to society in the future.
Message From the Principal
Rimrock Students and Families,
I hope you are ready for an exciting year at Rimrock! I am looking forward to what our students will achieve in the coming months. We have an amazing staff that is deeply committed to every student’s success at Rimrock, and we can’t wait to be a part of their journey.
The expectations we have for our students remain the same as last year: they need to come to school ready to behave with integrity and respect and give their best effort each day. From this foundation, our focus as a Professional Learning Community will be on ensuring every student learns and grows through their educational experience at Rimrock. Our purpose is to provide a high quality education that prepares students to be positive contributors to society. This extends beyond just academic knowledge, although that remains important. Our hope is to help instill qualities of character, wisdom, and grit in our young adults too, as these are the attributes that will prepare them for future success.
As a reminder, school will begin for grades 6 through 12 on the 19th of August. Classes will again start at 8:00 a.m. for our junior high students, and 8:05 a.m. for our high school students. High School students will be served breakfast from 7:50 a.m. to 8:05 a.m.

Hello! It is my privilege to lead Rimrock Jr-Sr High School as Principal. I assumed responsibilities as Principal in 2023 after teaching High School science for 2 years at Rimrock. Before that, I served as an active duty Air Force officer for approximately 12 years until transitioning into the Air Force reserves and starting a civilian career in education. I chose to enter into education because, during the course of my military career, I realized the importance of developing character, wisdom, and grit in our youth in order to equip them to be productive citizens and leaders for our communities and nation. I hope that, as Rimrock’s principal, I can facilitate a high-quality education for our students that prepares them for future success after they graduate.
My educational background is varied, as I graduated high school from a Illinois Math & Science Academy before attending the US Air Force Academy, where I received a degree in political science and foreign area studies. I also have a Master’s Degree in National Security Studies from the American Military University, and attended language schools at the Defense Language Institute as well as overseas in Russia and Oman. I am currently enrolled in the Educational Specialist program for Educational Leadership at Northwest Nazarene University.
During my time in the military, I held a variety of assignments in law enforcement, intelligence, and counterterrorism, both in the US and overseas. I’ve also been an instructor for leadership, character development, and process improvement, and worked with Congress and the Department of Defense in the Pentagon on violence prevention and resiliency for the Department of the Air Force. I have held command (leadership) assignments in Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates overseas, as well as Nebraska, Nevada, and here in Idaho at Mountain Home AFB.
