Bruneau Elementary
Bruneau Elementary is a small but active school in the Bruneau-Grand View Joint School District. We value parent involvement, as our staff works tirelessly to provide the best education possible for every one of our students.
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!
We hope each of you has enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with opportunities to relax, recharge, and spend quality time with family and friends. As we prepare to welcome our students back, I am excited about the opportunities that await us this school year. On behalf of our entire staff, welcome back to Bruneau Elementary School!
At Bruneau Elementary, we are committed to creating a safe, caring, and engaging environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Our dedicated staff works hard each day to provide meaningful learning experiences while building strong relationships with our students and families. Together, we can help every child develop the confidence, skills, and character needed for success.
Our district theme this year is “Attitude of Gratitude.” Throughout the year, we will encourage our students to appreciate the opportunities they have, show kindness to others, and recognize the many blessings that surround them. Gratitude strengthens our school community and helps create a positive culture where everyone can thrive.
We are also excited to welcome Susan Wampler back to Bruneau Elementary School as our Kindergarten through 3rd Grade Teacher and Lead Teacher. Susan brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a genuine love for students, and we are thrilled to have her rejoin our team.
As we begin the year, I encourage every student to:
- Come to school each day ready to learn.
- Be kind and respectful to classmates and staff.
- Try your best, even when something is challenging.
- Ask questions and never stop being curious.
- Take pride in being a Bruneau Elementary student.
Families are an essential part of our success, and we deeply appreciate your partnership. Your encouragement, involvement, and support play an important role in your child’s education. We look forward to working together throughout the year to help every student succeed.
Please feel free to contact the Bruneau Elementary office if you would like to schedule a meeting or phone call with me or other staff. I welcome your questions, ideas, and concerns, and I look forward to partnering with you throughout the school year.
Thank you for your continued support of Bruneau Elementary School. Together, let’s make the 2026–2027 school year one filled with learning, growth, gratitude, and success for every student.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ken Higbee
