Elementary Agreements

In supporting the district-wide vision and core values, we expect all staff, students, and patrons to be respectful, responsible, and reasonable. Following these agreements provides for a safe environment that promotes maximum learning. As a staff, we aim to be a positive role model for all students. We hold each other accountable for the following agreements.

  • Attentive listening—Quietly looking at the speaker
  • No put-downs/Show appreciation and mutual respect—Unkind words and actions are not acceptable. Instead, we give positive feedback to others.
  • Confidentiality/No gossip—Each person tells only those needing to know.

Dear Bruneau-Grand View Stakeholders,
Back-to-School Update from the Superintendent
With just 18 days until students return, there’s beginning to be a lot of activity across the district!
I’ve noticed more staff members coming in and out of our buildings, setting up classrooms and
sharing stories from their summer adventures. This morning, I was excited to see Mrs.
Raymond and Mr. Waterlander out running with the Rimrock cross country team—a sure sign
that fall sports and a new school year are just around the corner.
In last week’s update, I shared news about the new elementary teachers who have accepted
positions at Bruneau Elementary School, and also announced that Mrs. McClure will be
stepping into the role of Principal at Grand View Elementary.
One update I missed was to share a bit more about my own role. This year, I will be serving as
Superintendent-Principal and will be based at Bruneau Elementary School. This will allow me to
provide additional support to our new staff and help manage day-to-day responsibilities on-site.
We’ve also posted the School Secretary position for Bruneau Elementary, with a detailed job
description available on the district website. Principals and secretaries will officially return to
duty on Monday, August 4.
Important Back-to-School Dates & Information:
Pre-Kindergarten will continue to be offered at Grand View Elementary only for the 2025-2026
school year.
● Bus routes will follow the same schedule as last year, serving all three schools.
● High school fall sports begin Monday, August 11.
● New teachers report on August 11 & 12.
● All staff return August 13–15.
● School Board Meeting: Tuesday, August 12 at 7:00 PM.
● School Open Houses will be held at each school on Thursday, August 14.
