We provide athletics programs for junior and senior high school students in an effort to foster school spirit, teach responsibility and teamwork, and provide an outlet for students’ sports interests and talents. We are proud of the student athletes on our numerous teams, and we invite you to come out and cheer on our Raiders!
Due to the significant spread of COVID, Idaho is now rolled back to stage 2, statewide. As a result, we will not be able to allow fans at BGV sporting events. Only athletes, coaches, administration on duty, and the personnel required to run the game(s) (clock, etc.) will be in the gym during athletic events for the foreseeable future.
We are actively working on installing a camera in the Rimrock gymnasium that will allow fans to watch all games, live, through the NFHS Network - we’ve ordered the equipment and we’re awaiting delivery. We will keep you updated as to when this service will be available, with a projected completion date of mid-December. In the meantime, we will be broadcasting all junior high and high school home games live on the Bruneau Grand View District's Facebook page.
Sports Fees WAived for the Remainder of the 2020–2021 School Year
BGV Trustees recognize this is a difficult time for families in our community. In an effort to help families during this time, Trustees voted to waive sports fees for the winter 2020 and spring 2021 seasons. Beginning with the upcoming junior high and high school basketball seasons, we will not charge the $25/$50 participation fee to Rimrock students who choose to participate in sports. Please direct any questions to Athletic Director Ashley Merrick.
Interscholastic Eligibility and Guidelines
Because of the unique visibility accorded athletes, we expect them, as representatives of the school and the community, to adhere to the following code and eligibility requirements:
Athletes must maintain a high moral character and, at all times, accept responsibility for their conduct. Prior to participating in practice, students must return all necessary paperwork including (but not limited to) insurance forms, parent permission slips, physical forms (grades 6, 7, 8, 9, 11), and interim questionnaires (grades 10, 12). Prior to participating in any full-length game, each team member must possess a valid activity card and pay the participation fee.
