Rimrock Jr./Sr. High
Rimrock Junior/Senior High School serves the 7th through 12th grade students in the Bruneau-Grand View boundaries. Our athletics, clubs and activities, and special programs all help to make our students’ educational experiences top-notch.
Success in life involves much more than just academic success. Students must grow their extra-curricular interests to become well-rounded young adults. Our many clubs and academic enrichment programs can help to do just that.
Future Hispanic Leaders of America
FHA is designed for students interested in promoting and expanding leadership opportunities for Hispanic students. There are several opportunities for joint meetings with students from other schools each year.
Future Farmers of America
FFA is a club designed for students taking Vo-Ag. It allows students to utilize information gained in the classroom through project experience. FFA also gives students an opportunity to participate in several judging contests, state conventions, and outdoor activities.
Idaho Drug Free Youth
IDFY encourages students to remain drug- and alcohol-free. The club requires drug testing for membership as well as random testing throughout the school year. Community merchants provide discounts on goods and services to encourage drug- and alcohol-free behavior.
National Honor Society
The object of the National Honor Society is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in all students at Rimrock High School. Membership in this chapter is based on scholarship, service, leadership, and character as defined by the National Honor Society and Rimrock Jr./Sr. High School.
The yearbook staff produces The Raider. The club advisor selects the club members based on skill and willingness to work..
Rimrock has several talented instrumental ensembles. The program is made up of sixth grade band, a seventh and eighth grade band, and a high school band, all three of which meet every school day. Though enrollment for each band is determined by grade level, sixth grade band is designed for beginners, seventh and eighth grade band is for students with one - two years experience, and high school band is for our most advanced players who have been playing for an average of three years. The top two bands also make up the Rimrock Prep Band that plays at select football, basketball, and volleyball games. Any students interested in joining band at the beginning or midway point of the school year should contact Ms. Volk by e-mail. For more information, scheduling, and performance updates, or examples of the bands performances, please check the new Facebook and YouTube channel - coming soon!
Any high school students interested in joining band next semester please contact Ms. Volk.
From the PRincipal's Desk
Dear Parents and Rimrock Students,
Welcome to another year at Rimrock Jr./Sr. High School. Our theme this year is "We Are Rimrock" to focus us on the greatness in our student body. We will be working on the culture and climate of the school and building school spirit.
We have new staff members joining us this year. Mr. Todd Jensen will teach health/PE and coach football. Ms. Mattie Wroten will teach 6th grade, Ms. Amanda Renken is teaching science, Mrs. Emily Waterlander will oversee special education, Mrs. Cindy Granatir is teaching English, and Ms. Jessica Johnson is our new school secretary. These staff members join the veteran staff members and are working hard to help all students at Rimrock succeed.
This will be an exciting year, and we invite you to join us at all of our many activities and events. The Rimrock boosters and parent group are always looking for volunteers to help with the activities and other events at the school. There are many ways to be involved at Rimrock, and we hope you will get involved.
We have an open door policy at Rimrock, so stop by any time to pay us a visit.
We are Rimrock!
